what i'd wear = grey line

Ah, I do love a good old window shop.
As I've jacked my job in it's all I'll be able to do soon anyway.
Polyvore is great for the financially challenged, like me.
You can live a vicarious life of a swanky socialite.
And then call your collection something really pretentious, like I have.
Mwaaaaahahaha

what i'd wear = turquoise teacake wedding wear

if I had been asked to a summer wedding i'd wear this outfit
i haven't by the way
why is this, you ask?
because i'm an anti-social, cynical and brutally honest vulgarite and, bizarrely, my fellow women don't seem to like these qualities
so all my friends, bar two (and they live in misty, distant lands), are married men or confirmed bachelors
but if i WERE invited i reckon i'd outshine the bride in this naturellement.

i especially LOVE the hat - can't work out if it's more 40s than 80s but whichever era it harks back to it's gorgeous
anyhow perhaps you're nicer than me and have been asked to wedding where you can actually dress up and not rely solely on your imagination like me

what i'd wear = nautica

Can you think of anything more delightful, dahling, than tripping along to hubbies' J Class regatta in this wonderful ensemble?
Of course, one doesn't need to actually sail, does one, to appreciate all things nautical?
So long as one stands on the blacony of the yacht club looking beautiful,
that's all that Hon. Hugo Bunty-Twistleton could ask of his dearest.
Oh, for a pink gin and the starter's horn!
Nautica
Seriously though, this vintage dress is AMAZING.
I reckon if you know someone handy with a sewing machine it wouldn't be a hard design to knock up.
(Says me, who can't even thread my machine properly...)

what i'd wear = city chic outfit

Like me, you might LOVE to drape yourself in the finest threads known to humanity
but your purse (and significant other) probably doesn't.
To stave off the depressing realisation of impending pauperism I created another set on Polyvore.
This is where I go to live out my haute couture fantasy existence.
In this other world I'd go to the American Bar at The Savoy
and toast this montage of delight with a White Lady.
creamy chic

I really do need some gold shorts immediately and........ ahem......bronzed and slender pins to match.

what i'd wear = patent lemon opera outfit

I'd be squeezing myself into this zesty little number if I had been invited to the Opera.
(Yes, the puns were intended.)
Only covent Garden would do at the moment, though, for Glyndeborne would be too damp and the outfit would ruined by Wellies.
I'm not sure if etiquette would allow knee length to the opera but I'm sure they'd let me in wearing this show stopper.

what i'd wear = flight of fantasy

Anyone else feeling like a big bag of shite?
I have done for the past nine months in my job.
Am I going on about my crapola job again...
Well, I need to spend some serious doe to make myself feel better -
problem is the bank manager wouldn't agree so I went on Polyvore.
Rather than go to work tomorrow I would like to imagine something better...
Right this is what I'd do:
I'm off to the Savoy Hotel in London for cocktails and I'm wearing this:
Anyone else coming?
